Two fire on policeman and escape

Interior Ministry's public relations officer Ehsan Zahidov told the APA that officer of Sumgayit Police Office, Sergeant Galib Tanriverdiyev was fired in his car. Tanriverdiyev was wounded and hospitalized.

Criminal case has been launched on the fact on Article 29.120 (efforts to commit premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code in Sumgayit Police Office.

Zahidov said that police are on alert in Sumgayit. "Unknown men are supposed to be about to commit a crime. As the policeman approached them, they fire on him," he said.
