4 injured in Baku building collapse released from hospital

Upper part of an under-construction building at the intersection of Nizami and Fikret Amirov streets (behind British embassy) in Baku collapsed on Thursday.

Four of the injured hospitalized at the Institute of Traumotology and Orthopedics have been released, head physician of the hospital Tariyel Gasimov told the APA.

He said that 23-year old Fuzuli resident Ibadov Elmeddin, 36-year old Astara resident Nematov Vagif, 51-year old Imishli resident Tahmazov Farhad, 30-year old Lokbatan resident Mammadov Zakir have been released.

The other injured Lokbatan resident Aladdin Ibishov is in critical condition and is in hospital. The head physician noted that he got serious injuries on his head and face. After other specialists are invited to the hospital, it will be known whether he will undergo surgery or not.

Six were injured as a result of the accident, five of them were hospitalized at the Institute of Traumotology and Orthopedics and one at MediClub private clinics.
