Social monitoring 'Azerbaijan in 2006' held

Political scientist Rasim Musabayov held a press conference dedicated to the results of the social monitoring on the theme 'Azerbaijan in 2006.'

Musabeyov said that 1000 respondents participated in the poll held in 15 regions and 12 cities of Azerbaijan. The rate of confidence of bodies and persons were also determined by the poll.

President Ilham Aliyev is the leader by 71% among the confidence winners in public. Army (38.9%) and mass media (14.6%) are in the second and the third place as to solidity. The results of other Government bodies are low, he said.

He also stressed the belief of most respondents to the peaceful solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Most respondents namely 59,4% don't believe in concessions, Musabeyov said.

As to financial position, most respondents said that their social condition isn't too bad. But Musabeyov said that conditions on financial positions have been changed. And it is connected with the rise in prices after January. APA
