Soldier commits suicide

Soldier of Defense Ministry's military unit in Khizi region Ziya Ali Dashdemir committed suicide by shooting at himself.

The soldier died in Sumgait hospital being seriously injured in his head and throat. Defense Ministry press service chief Ramiz Malikov confirmed the fact.

The Military Prosecutor's office informed that criminal case was launched on article 125 (drive to suicide) of Criminal Code. The investigation is under way.

As APA reports, Ziya Dashdemirov was drafted from Gobustan Military Registration Department in October, 2006.
