AzTV to face staff reduction

The period of the three-month contract signed with television officers will expire on March 31. The company leadership will dismiss some of them, the others will retire. The staff reduction will not be large-scaled.

AzTV CJSC press secretary Khatire Gasimova told the APA that reforms are being carried out in the television and it will last for a long time.

"As we have piece-work payment, we may sign contract with the employees and can renew the contract with some of them after the date is expired," she said.

There has been mass staff reduction in AzTV since the new chief was appointed. About 500 officers out of 2,000 were reduced.
