Salaries of culture workers will be raised

The minister addressing the ceremony said the executive order was issued on time and it is necessary to implement it.

According to Garayev, generally 78 plays have been performed within a year and a month of its activity.

"We will increase our efforts after this executive order. As is indicated in the order Azerbaijan State Youths' Theatre, Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theatre and Azerbaijan State Puppet Theatre are being reconstructed. Yesterday the president got acquainted with the project of Palace named after Heydar Aliyev and on March 16 the palace will be closed for reconstruction. Besides, we will reconstruct the buildings of Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theatre, as well as Irevan State Azerbaijani Theatre, and Shusha State Musical Theatre. Projects will be worked out for reconstruction of the theatre buildings. We consider completing the constructions within two years. The theaters will be provided with new equipment," he said.

The minister noted that producers and computer specialists will be brought up for the theatres. That is why we will send young specialists to have education in foreign countries.

"The adoption of law on theatre is very estimable. I believe that financial welfare will better, after all problems solved. It is planned to raise salaries of culture workers. Azerbaijani Theatre should live; we are ready for everything for this," the minister said.

Garayev said that special commission has been established to work out Draft State Program "Azerbaijani theatre in 2008-2018." He stressed that public judgment will also taken into account while working out the program.

The chief of Azerbaijani Parliament]s Commission for Cultural affairs, parliamentarian Nizami Jafarov said that it is important to preserve the theatre today. The chief of Azerbaijan's Theatre Worker's Union, people's Artist Azer Pasha Nematov said that they will do their bets to implement the executive order, APA reports.
