President gets acquainted with project of reconstruction of Heydar Aliyev Palace

Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev said that the palace will be reconstructed and provided with modern equipment. Turkish company "Pim Proje" has prepared a special project for it. The Palace will be shut down March 15. The reconstruction works to be carried out by Agrartikinti Stock Company will finish in September, 2008.

President Ilham Aliyev first got acquainted with the changes envisaged in the project and looked at the photos reflecting the Palace after the reconstruction, APA reports.

Jelal Ozkan, the chief of Pim Proje gave information about the project. He said that the building will be covered with marble.

"Lighting system will be reconstructed. Special windows brought from Italy will be installed. The wall of the building will be used as screen within 24 hours. This is the main part of our project. Automatic bars will be installed to stop vehicles in front of the building," he said.
