Ali Insanov to testify tomorrow

Today trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued in the second part of day at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov, APA reports.

The court announced its decision on Ali Insanov’s lawyer Agaveyis Shahverdi's solicitation on repeated court, inviting additional witnesses and experts to the court. Judge Gasimov dismissed lawyer's solicitation.

Then, the lawyer saying that his solicitations were not allowed till now, protested the composition of the court.

The lawyer said that he has appealed to court of appeals for his protest, the judge Gasimov said that the appeal should be appealed to the chief of the Court of Grave crimes. The court kept Shahverdi's protest unconsidered.

The trial will be continued on February 28. That day Ali Insanov will testify upon the trial.
