631 children in 10,000 are born with genetic defects in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is included in the list of unsuccessful Post-Soviet countries side-by-side with Tajikistan (752 in 10,000) and Kyrgyzstan (735).

Austria, Australia, Switzerland and France (from 397 to 425) are the first in the list. Russia (429) is the fifth and the US (478) is the twentieth. Germany (779) and Saudi Arabia (820) are the last in the list.

The investigations show that the majority of the children are born with heart deficiency, blood diseases (thalassemia, etc) and down disease, APA reports.
