Turkish ambassador meets with universities' presidents

Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Husein Avni Garslioglu has met with higher educational institution presidents.

The ambassador said that such relations will help to improve Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation in education.

Turkish educational missions are expected to visit Azerbaijan in order to improve cooperation between the countries, he said.

Baku State University president Abel Maharramov spoke of some problems in education and said that Azerbaijani diplomas of law faculties are not recognized in Turkey. He considered it necessary to solve the problem as Turkish students studying in Azerbaijan also suffer it.

The ambassador also stated that the issue needs to be discussed and solved in mutual understanding.

Head of State Committee for Student Admission Meleyke Abbaszade highly appreciated educational cooperation with Turkey. She noted that Baku will host international assessment conference in September this year. She stated that participation of Turkish representatives in the conference in desirable. APA
