Education Minister receives OSCE's Deputy Head of Mission

Minister of Education Misir Mardanov received deputy head of OSCE Office in Baku Robin Seaword.

Robin Seaword expressed their intention to apply OSCE's "Green envelope" program in secondary schools. The program envisions giving education to 10-12-year old pupils about the environment. The program, tested in other OSCE member countries, involves parents as well as pupils. Parents should support children to protect the nature and take care of environment. He said one school in Baku and one in the region may be chosen for the application of the program. The deputy head stated that teachers participating in the program will receive wide information about it.

Misir Mardanov said that ecology is studied in the secondary schools. The minister considered it expedient to implement the pilot project within other state programs, ministry press service told APA.
