Misir Mardanov: "We are satisfied with attendance in high schools"

12 February 2007 [10:39] - TODAY.AZ
"Winter sessions have finished in high schools. The Education Ministry analyses it. Generally, we are satisfied with attendance in high schools," Education Minister Misir Mardanov told journalists.

The minister said they had worried about the negative cases in winter sessions, but the inspections showed that students achieved great results in winter session.

"There were less negative cases in winter session. High schools leadership took necessary measures and punished the guilty teachers," the minister said.

Mardanov said that though the ministry was dissatisfied with Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University during previous years, the situation became better.

"Turkish students studying at the university had problems. Negative cases eliminated, after new rector was appointed," he said, APA reports.
