Azerbaijani suspected of contracting bird flu

Blood samples of resident of Azerbaijani region of Neftchala Zamina Zeynalova, who is suspected of contracting bird flu, are now being tested in Viral Laboratory of the Health Ministry Station Against Plague and Republic Veterinary Laboratory.

ealth Ministry's press service told the APA that PZR method is applied in the testing. The results of the test will be made in one or two days. In case of bird flu suspicion, the samples will be sent to the World Health Organization’s reference laboratory.

Zeynalova (born in 1969) was hospitalized at the Scientific Research Institute of Lungs Diseases with suspicion of bird flu on February 2. She is being cured for double-sided pneumonia and in critical condition now.
