About 20 Azerbaijanis deported from Russia since migration law effective

Official of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad Shakir Salimov told the APA that about 1000 Azerbaijanis were deported from Russia within 9 months in 2006.

Salimov said that about 100 Azerbaijanis appeal to 7 regions of Russia concerning their documents every day. He noted that they get into contact with these offices several times a day.

"No serious fact has been recorded up to now," he said.

Salimov also said that the chief of the State Committee is regularly informed about the problems of the Azerbaijanis engaged in trading in Russia.
