31 January 2007 [11:18] - TODAY.AZ
Iranian paintings which are maintained in museums in Azerbaijan and Georgia will go on public display after undergoing renovation.

According to CHN, the Institute of Qajar Studies has announced that given the critical conditions of the artworks, they will be repaired once necessary funds are made available.

Given that the items are scattered in different museums, the plan to preserve the artifacts can be reviewed as pert of two independent projects.

International Institute of Qajar Studies is located in Santa Barbara, California, USA. In addition to conducting research works on the Qajar era (1795-1925), it organizes an international conference on Iranian culture and history during the period each year in cooperation with several other institutes in France.

This year's event, which will focus on 'Visits, Travelogues and Travelers in the Qajar Era' will be held in May in Paris. IranMania
