Observance of Commemoration of the Victims of Holocaust in UN Baku office

UN Resident Coordinator Marco Barsotti said that UN general Assembly made a decision on organizing observance of the International Day for the Commemoration of the Victims of the Holocaust on January 27 two years ago.

Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan Arthur Lenk especially noted Azerbaijan among 100 states voted for the decision on International Commemoration Day.

Tahir Tagizadeh, Head of the Press and Information Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan delivered the keynote address.

Later the Secretary General's Message on the Day was viewed and a short film called "Remembrance and Beyond" was screened, APA reports.
