She noted that the Grievous Crimes Court had made a just decision.

"I was pleased that Zakir Nasirov, ex-chief of Head Crime Investigation Department had been sentenced to life imprisonment. He has committed many crimes," she said.

Aliyeva didn't comment on the details of her husband's murder had been uncovered in the trial.

She said that she intends to leave the country.

"I want to go abroad but my children are against it. My younger son is getting second education. He will graduate in a year and a half. We will make our decision after he graduates," she said.
