Parliament appeals to compatriots on Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis

The appeal says that 15 years ago Heydar Aliyev's initiative gave an impetus to the process of Azerbaijan's independence and as a result of Heydar Aliyev’s efforts the independence was preserved.

"Today Azerbaijan is a leading country in South Caucasus and pride of the world Azerbaijanis. World Azerbaijanis Congress was twice held and the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis was established for strengthening relations with world Azerbaijanis. If all the Azerbaijanis living in different places of the world unite, Nagorno Karabakh problem will be solved soon. We call on the world Azerbaijanis to national unity," statement says, APA reports.
