President Aliyev meets artists

Farhad Khalilov, chairman of the Union of Artists thanked the President for finding time for a meeting. He said great traditions left by great leader are alive today. He said the decree concerning Union's 65th anniversary was very well welcomed.

He said the modern Museum of Art is now being built, and it will be the center of the modern art. He touched on the economic growth, development of regions, opening of new enterprises, saying it will provide the art new opportunities in the future. Khalilov thanked the President on behalf of all painters.

He said the international exhibition-contest "Independence of Azerbaijan and Heydar Aliyev" devoted to 80th jubilee of national leader was held, bringing together painters from 27 countries.

Khalilov presented the gold medal of the Union of Artists to the President. AzerTAg
