Trial on Akif Muradverdiyev's appeal to be postponed

The trial of President's Office ex-Administrative Office chief Akif Muradverdiyev's appeal set on December 27 and to be presided over by Judge Court of Appeal Gayil Mammadov can be postponed.

Judge told the APA that the lawyer of defendant appealed to Supreme Court. The judge also said that the appeal can not be considered without the decision of Supreme Court.

The court decided to consider the case without conducting investigation.
It should be noted that the Grievous Crimes Court presided by Judge Tofig Pashyev sentenced him to six years in jail.

Muradverdiyev was convicted in the Article 179.3.2 (embezzlement), 308.2 (abuse of power), 311 (bribery), 313 (fraud) of Criminal Code. But the investigation of criminal case convicted in the Article 28. 278 (staging coup) and 28.220 (coup attempt) is underway.

The former official is being treated in medical institution of Penitentiary Service.
