Trial of former prison chiefs held in Court of Appeals

The lawyers of the accused people testified in the trial. The trial will be continued on December 29, APA informs.

It should be noted that former chief of Detention ward 7 Salman Najafov and former chief of Medical Institution Nizami Nagiyev, some other authorities of the institution Selaheddin Shirinov, Khegani Nabiyev, Elshad Guliyev, Yadigar Gurbanov, Veli Veliyev and Khegani Hashimov were convicted in the Article 308.2 (abuse of power), 309(exceed of power), 311 (bribery), 313 (misuse of power), 314,2 ( negligence), 320 (counterfeiting preparing and selling official documents, stamps, blanks) of the Criminal Code.

Those persons took part in the release of nearly 20 prisoners from detention ward 7 illegally.
