11 December 2006 [14:49] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and the chief of State Committee on Affaires with Azerbaijanis living abroad Nazim Ibrahimov held a meeting with the representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora in the Embassy.

The Minister made speech in the meeting and noted that Azerbaijanis met with all these problems because they do not meet with one another and also there is aggressive rival among them, APA reports.

"Most of people did not understand the essence of the rules of new adopted law about the regulation of Migration rules. There is no reason to anxiety. Simply Russia government wants to formulate new rules in their country for regulating the migration problems. Azerbaijan Embassy is ready to help any Azerbaijani who has problem. If Azerbaijanis coming to Russia obey the rules, no problem will be. Azerbaijanis willing to get jobs here should pass the same procedure. If they do not find jobs, then they should return to Azerbaijan until the validity interval of the registration ends," the Ambassador said.

The Ambassador also mentioned that Azerbaijanis can find jobs in Azerbaijan too.

"President Ilham Aliyev stands on his promise that new jobs will be created in the eve of the elections. Azerbaijani president always mentioned that he is not only the president of the republic but also the president of all citizens. The committee to solve the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Russia had already met with the officials of Russia Foreign Ministry and told them about Azerbaijan’s position on this issue," he added.

Later the meeting with Diaspora representatives continued without media. Some citizens made proposals to take radical steps to solve the problems but some other representatives were against it. They noted that it is possible to sign new agreements with Russia farmers on the basis of new law. The mechanisms of this idea were discussed in the meeting. After the meeting Nazim Ibrahimov told the journalists he does not believe that to be adopted law on January 15 will cause any problems for Azerbaijanis.

"There is no means to think that new adopted law has non-friend relation to Azerbaijanis. This law considers the application of new rules in labour market and Russia has directed to regulate the flow of foreigners. If any problem appears we and the embassy are ready to take measures in the frame of legislation," he said.
