USAID holds trainings on Avian Influenza

The USAID Azerbaijan director Scot Tailor said that the trainings will cover these topics: the use of personal protective equipment when working in an area where you might be exposed to birds that are suspected of having avian (bird) influenza; the safe and correct use of decontamination kits to kill the virus in areas where an outbreak has been reported; and the safe and correct work practices for gathering samples and preparing them for shipment to laboratories.

The director also stated that it is expected that these specialists will have trainings in the sites, APA reports.
