Azerbaijani journalist's Congress date changed

The Organizing committee said that the congress was postponed because of poor payment of the PC founders for membership dues and sluggish presentation of the documents confirming their participation in the congress.

Ibrahim Mammadli said that the cases like this happened before too. The financial examination of PC showed that only 9 per cent of membership dues was paid.

"According to the information that I got this number increased to 15 per cent. But the situation is not satisfactory. That is why we decided to change the date of the congress and set it on December 23."

Mammadli also did not rule out the fact that Administrative staff will consider the issue of founder case of mass media that did not pay membership dues. APA
