200 AzTV associates dismissed

01 December 2006 [00:05] - TODAY.AZ
200 associates of "Azerbaijani television and radio programs" Closed Joint Stock Company were dismissed.

Chief of AzTV Personnel Department Mansur Bayramov told APA that 800 of 2000 associates are at pension age. "80-85 aged associates come to the work to kill time," he said.

Mansur Bayramov noted that he is engaged in solving company's problems and one of them is related with personnel as well. "I did not watch the news on AzTV before but now, it has changed. It is up to personnel. They are paid for a day all over the world. We also want to transfer to this system," he said.

"The contract period ends tomorrow. Old associates may sign civil contracts and go on working. We have 200 associates in this situation. We will not have any associates in five years unless the changes are made," the chief said.

The company has 20 presidential pensioners.

Announcer of AzTV, national artist Sabir Aleskerov told APA that he handed in his resignation himself. "I taught a number of personnel for this position. No one dismissed me, I handed in my resignation myself," he said.
