Validity period of foreign passports increased from 5 to 10 years

Parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva said not taking into consideration the important offers of parliamentarians is inadmissible, APA reports.

She said citizens are taken bribes while getting passports and there should be a statute to prevent this. After the discussions, the amendments to the law were adopted taking parliamentarians' offers into account. Period of validity of foreign passports was increased from 5 to 10 years.

Besides, citizens can get foreign passports during five days paying 120 AZN.

When citizens need foreign passports in a short time, because of illnesses they can get them in 2 days paying 40AZN. Normally citizens can get foreign passports within a month paying 40 AZN.
