Petersburg festival opens in Baku as part of Year of Russia

A heavyweight delegation from Russia's second biggest city arrives in the capital of Azerbaijan to participate in the festival, which will run till December 1.

The program includes a concert of Mariinsky Theatre soloists, a photo exhibition and a festival of films made at the Lenfilm film studio.

This is one of the final events within the program of the Year of Russia in Azerbaijan, which is going to its end. Its closing ceremony will take place in Baku on December 4 and 5. A government delegation, led by Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, will arrive for the ceremony. Itar-Tass
