Tom Casey takes stance on journalist hunger strike in Azerbaijan

"Obviously though, and if you look at our Human Rights Reports, you know, our concerns about press freedom in a number of countries, including Azerbaijan, are well documented there," State Department's Deputy Spokesman and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tom Casey said in response to a question about a hunger strike by a number of leading journalists in Azerbaijan.

He added that they want to see a situation in which reporters everywhere are free to do their job without any kind of intimidation or harassment, APA reports.
