Elmira Suleymanova: "We cannot exert pressure on Ganimat Zahidov to stop hunger strike"

"If Ganimat Zahidov does not stop hunger strike, this is his right, we cannot exert pressure on him. But I offered him to stop the strike.

"They have already achieved their goal. They wanted the whole world to be aware of it. The information has already spread," ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova told journalists.

She said that she appealed to the Health Minister so that they should examine Ganimat Zahidov. "After my appeal the Health Minister sent medical aid for the hunger strikers. Ombudsman is not a legislative body. We have done our best and want the problem to be solved," she said, APA reports.
