"Any opinion of BBC authority is not ground for us. National Television and Radio Council (NTRC) stands on its decision and will stop the broadcasting of foreign radio stations from January 1," Nushiravan Meherremli, the chief of NTRC, stated.

Showing his opinion to the statement made by foreign radio stations, Meherremli said there are forces that politicize the council's fight for defending supremacy of law, APA reports.

"They want to value our decision as the pressure to freedom of speech and press. But it is not right. Our aim is to defend the supremacy of law," he said.
