NTRC chief met with representatives of VoA, Radio Liberty and BBC

A meeting was held with the representatives of VoA, Liberty and BBC and the US embassy in Azerbaijan in the National Television and Radio Council. They touched upon the solution of the existing problems.

"We told them that broadcasting of foreign channels and radios in the frequency of local companies will stop in the appointed time is over. We noted that the decision is in power and explained the legal sides of our decision. They asked why the decision was made now. We told them that we have compromised for 15 years and the now the limit is over," NTRC chief Nushiravan Maharramli told the APA.
