Azerbaijani territories cleared from mines and ordinances

1,946,676 sq.m areas of Azerbaijani territory have been cleared from mines and unexploded ordinances (UXO) and 9,369 UXO have been rendered harmless, National Agency for clearing territories from mines told the APA.25 mine demining, 156 sappers, 47 UXO operators, eight paramedics, over 100 assistants and five mechanical demining flail participated in the operation.

79,971 UXOs were found and neutralized. ANAMA reports that any incident happened within last month. 51 people died and 116 people injured from September of last year till now.

ANAMA task forces were sent to Terter region to neutralize UXO and in 21 places the officers removed and destroyed UXOm, APA reports.
