Health Minister meets Icelandic counterpart

Azerbaijani Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev met with David Gunnarsson, Iceland Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Security, and candidate for the post of WHO Secretary General, according to the Ministry's press-service.

During the meeting, Mr. Shiraliyev highlighted David Gunnarsson's merits to the WHO, and the role of international organizations, in particular, WHO in the development of health care in Azerbaijan.

Gunnarsson, in his turn, expressed satisfaction with his first visit to Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan and Iceland have large prospects for further cooperation, Permanent Secretary said. AzerTAg
