NTRC will not retract its position to prevent illegal broadcasting of foreign radio stations in Azerbaijan

"We will not retract our position to prevent illegal broadcasting of VOA and Liberty in Azerbaijan private radio TV channels," Nushiravan Maharramli, National Television and Radio Council chief stated.

He stated that if foreign radio stations do not legalize their broadcasting in the given period, their activity will be stopped.

Maharramli also said that foreign radio stations should be granted license after signing a contract with NTRC till January.

In this case the radio stations can operate in separate frequencies, APA reports.
