Baku to host 4th CIS Congress of Oncologists and Radiologists

Association of the Directors of Oncological and Radiological Centers and Institutes of CIS - international learned society affiliating scientists and physicians-oncologists of Commonwealth nations - was established in 1991.

Three CIS Congresses of Oncologists and Radiologists, Moscow-1966, Kiev-2000 and Minsk- 2004, which brought together eminent scientists from CIS, Europe and USA were held within the framework of the Association.

The upcoming Congress will gather 1200 scientists and physicians from 16 countries, including 11 countries of CIS, Germany, Austria, India, Iran and Turkey.

The current Congress is of great significance for Azerbaijani oncologists as Oncological Research Center of Azerbaijani Health Ministry has turned 65.

This structure maintains close relations with all oncological centers and institutes of CIS, including Europe, Asia and USA.
