Azeri businessman killed in Moscow attack

Two men were killed in an attack on a businessman's car in central Moscow, a city police spokesperson said Tuesday.

Edgar Shirinov, an Azerbaijani national, and his bodyguard were shot dead early Tuesday after assailants opened fire with automatic weapons as they were leaving their car.

"According to the police, the victim [Shirinov] was a national of Azerbaijan and had business in Moscow," the source said. "His murder might have been related to his business activities."

Police discovered a large number of spent cartridges at the site.
