6 million manats allocated for a new police uniform

Azerbaijan's Police will be provided with new uniform in 2008, said Interior Minister Ramil Usubov.

He said new uniforms will be supplied for Baku Garrison, Absheron, Sumgait, Ganja, Sheki, Ali Bayramli Police Departments at the first stage.

He said AZN 6m allocated from the 2007 State Budget to prepare uniforms.

"Children of police killed on professional duty receive the salary of their parents until they are adult, they also receive special benefits," he underscored, APA reports.
