Azerbaijani art figures welcome the idea of creating Art Council

The Ministry spokesman Intigam Humbatov told that mechanism of establishing the Art Council will be prepared, APA reports.

"The Culture and Tourism Ministry, National TV and Radio Council and television channels in the country have agreed to establish the Art Council. The working mechanism will be determined after that," the spokesman said.

Most of Azerbaijani art figures welcome the idea of establishing Art Council. People's artist, well-known folk music singer Arif Babayev supported the idea.

"It is a positive initiative but this body should be unbiased."

People's artist Mansum Ibrahimov believes the Art Council will donate gifts to our culture. People's artist Azer Zeynalov thinks the new Council will prevent dirty music.

Singer Azerin also supports this idea saying this step will develop Azerbaijani culture.
