Azerbaijani capital to host forum of Turkish-speaking journalists

22 September 2006 [15:36] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijani capital of Baku will host the forum of journalists from Turkish-speaking countries next year.

This decision was made at the 10th Friendship, Brotherhood and Cooperation Congress of Turkish-speaking countries in Antalya, Turkey. Azerbaijani Press Council head Aflatun Amashov, who attended the Congress told that the Forum is planned to be held in spring.

Reminding the joint conference of Azerbaijani and Turkish media representatives in Baku in April this year, Mr. Amashov said journalists of the two countries have taken the first step in this way, APA reports.

"It was decided in this congress to bring together Turkish-speaking journalists in Baku. The current situation makes it inevitable for Turkish-speaking countries to make joint efforts. A united information zone is very important in terms of Turk states' integration into the world community," he said.
