Election official's son attempt to murder his sister

He ruled out the version that the incident was due to honor.

Ilahe Abbasova was assaulted by her brother Farid Abbasov. The brother attempted to kill the sister with hammer and knife. The investigator said it was caused by family dispute. However, he refused to make public the details of the case due to investigation secret.

Farid Abbasov will undergo medical examination to determine whether he has psychological problems.

Heavily injured Ilahe Abbasova is receiving treatment at Medical Clinical Center. She is in satisfactory condition now, APA reports.

There were reports that Farid Abbasov and Ilahe Abbasova are children of Vahid Abbasov, member of the Central Election Commission. The Commission told the APA Vahid Abbasov is the head of Shusha-Fuzuli-Khojali-Khojavend Constituency Election Commission #124.

Criminal case was launched on Farid Abbasov under article 29.120.1 (attempt to manslaughter) of Criminal Code.
