Masalli resident detained for illegal hunting

Police officers detained a villager illegally hunting for wild birds in Azerbaijani southern region of Masalli.

Police officer Tofig Shahmarov told APA's south bureau. Resident of Tazakand village Jabir Jafarov was detained while selling the hunted wild birds in the market.

He said he is unaware of the prohibition to hunting of wild birds made by state bodies.
Masalli police office is investigating the fact.
