Mehmet Ali Agca advices Roman Pope not to visit Turkey

19 September 2006 [14:48] - TODAY.AZ
"I would not advice you to visit Istanbul. I know these matters very well. You life is in danger, do not come to Istanbul," imprisoned Mehmet Ali Agca wrote in the letter addressed to Roman Catholic Pope Benedict XVI.

Expressing his concern over the pope's expected visit to Turkey, Agca sent him a letter by his lawyer Mustafa Damirbagh, APA reports.

"Your life is in danger, do not come to Turkey. I will not be able to meet you as I am in prison," he wrote.

Agca claims that Pope Benedict XVI had some affairs with nuns while he was a cardinal. He wrote Cardinal Ratzinger was in sexual intercourse with several nuns in Vatican.

"Vatican Guards' Commander Alios Esterman was aware of that. He secretly filmed the situation when Cardinal Ratzinger made nuns be in sexual intercourse with him. Esterman blackmailed the pope. He together with his wife and guard were killed in 1998. Official Vatican publicised this event as "The guard killed the two and committed suicide". But in fact, it was not like that. Esteramn was killed for his having proofs on Ratzinger's illegal sexual life. Italian intelligence bodies have detailed information on that, and they blackmail the Pope for supporting Italia's policy," the letter reads.

Mehmet Ali Agca, was sentenced for the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II. He was pardoned by the pope. But in Turkey he was sentenced to 8 years in jail for murdering editor-in-chief of "Milliyyet" newspaper Abdi Ipekci.
