Azeri veteran athlete wins silver at a World Championship

World weight-lifting championship for veteran athletes has wrapped up in Bordeaux, France.

Azerbaijan was represented by Akif Aliyev (56 kg) and Natig Agayev (105 kg). Akif Aliyev was successful at the competition winning a silver medal.

It was the first time that Azerbaijani veteran athletes attended such a prestigious competition.
