Azerbaijan national wrestling squad named

Azerbaijan national team has been named to compete in the world wrestling championship to be held between September 24 and October 1 in Guangzhou, China.

Senior coach Elchin Jafarov-led Greco-Roman wrestling national team trains in the wrestling gym of the Tofig Bahramov Republic Stadium. The team includes Rovshan Bayramov (55 kg), Vitali Rahimov (60 kg), Elbrus Mammadov (66 kg) and Ilgar Abdulov (74 kg).

The national free-style wrestling team spearheaded by Aslan Agayev is involved in training at the Interior Ministry’s Sport Society. The national team is composed of Namig Abdullayev (55 kg), Abil Ibrahimov (60 kg), Elman Asgarov (66 kg), Elnur Aslanov (74 kg), Eldar Atakishiyev (96 kg), Khizar Durgayev (120 kg).
