Azerbaijan participates in Central Asian Theater Festival

On Thursday in the Almaty State Academic Kazakh Theater for Children and Youth named after G. Mussrepov took place a solemn opening of the I International Theatre Festival of Central Asia, our correspondent reports.

It is organized by Kazakhstan Culture and Information Ministry under the auspices of the Almaty akimat and Kazakh auendiri (Kazakh songs) JSC.

Those attending are the drama theaters of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Tatarstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

Kazakh Culture and Information Minister Yertysbai Yermukhametov delivered speech of welcome.

Within a week there will be shown various stage plays in Russian. The festival will last till September 13.
