Man shot dead in his car in Azeri capital

Mashataga settlement resident Hajiyev Serdar was shot dead in his car on Mashtaga-Buzovna highway.

Police officer Zaur Badalov told the APA Hajiyev was shot by Makarov pistol in his automobile VAZ 21011. He died in hospital.

There were five bullet wounds on his body. The body was sent to medical examination. Police office and prosecutor's office representatives arrived at the scene.

There is a version that one person committed the crime. The criminal is wanted now.
The murdered Hajiyev is said to have received treatment for drug addiction.
The police officer also said Hajiyev's extramarital partner was sentenced to one year and six months in jail over illicit drug traffic not long ago.
