Pieroni had a shot on goal from the edge of the box blocked by goalkeeper Gevorg Kasparov, and he later failed to beat the goalkeeper one-on-one.

Armenia had chances down the flanks in the second half but never came close to scoring.

Belgium has four points from two games in Group A, while Armenia has one point from one match.

Azerbaijan, Finland, Serbia, Poland and Portugal are also in the group.
