Azerbaijan held to 1-1 draw by Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Kazakhstan in their Group A Euro 2008 qualifier on Wednesday.

Midfielder Andre Ladaga fired the hosts ahead on 16 minutes from a 25-metre free kick before Dmitry Byakov levelled nine minutes before halftime with a header from Nikita Khokhlov's right-wing cross.

Kazakhstan drew 0-0 with Belgium on their European Championship debut last month and have two points from two games.
