The life-term prisoners of Gobustan jail of Azerbaijan have appealed to prosecutor-general Zakir Garalov, Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova and human rights activists.

As APA reports, Gobistan lifer Kamandar Aslanov died mysteriously on August 14 this year. According to official versions, he died a natural death. However, there are some unclear issues regarding this.

"We offer to create a special commission to investigate the causes for Kamandar Aslanov's death. Several days before his death, Kamandar wrote that he wanted to commit suicide due to the physical pressures he suffered in the prison. so, we thinks this no an ordinary death or self-murder," the appeal reads.

Garadagh district prosecutor's office launched a criminal case on the death of Kamandar. Prosecutor Tariey Gurbanov told that investigation is under way.
