Elchin Behbudov appeals to President for national hero Rasim Akberov's release

Elchin Behbudov, chief of the Azerbaijan Commission against Torture appealed to President Ilham Aliyev for releasing national hero Rasim Akberov, who is held in Detention Place #1.

"He has heart problem. He suffers from contraction in vessel and from pressure fluctuation. He cannot move freely. Rasim does not want to be transferred to a Treatment Center. Doctors do their best to help him. But prison condition endangers his life," the rights defender told the APA.
